About the event
Join San Antonio's Poet Laureate, Andrea "Vocab" Sanderson, and Teaching Artist, Aminah Decé, known together as, Return of the Matriarch as they celebrate the release of their debut album, Queendom Come!
This OLLU exclusive event begins with a workshop, The Return of Empowerment. Write a story of empowerment by exploring memory through a creative mapping process with Return of the Matriarch at 3:30 pm.
After a short break, encourage fellow OLLU students Aramy Paz Martinez, Emily Rodriguez and Destinee Roberts, as they open for Return of the Matriarch, with poetry and music at 5:15 pm.
Finally, enjoy the debut performance of the full album, Queendom Come, featuring special guests, Alyson Alonzo and Ceiba ili at 5:30 pm. Meet and greet after concert.
